BIM Department

At the Anning-Johnson Company, we have complete, in-house Building Information Modeling (BIM) capabilities. These capabilities promote enhanced collaboration with the project team, identify and resolve conflicts in a virtual environment, reduce project costs, shorten project schedules, and contribute to a more accurately detailed and well built project.

Our BIM Department is a part of our corporate group and provides services to all of our office locations throughout the country. We work on projects with our district offices by using remote sharing through a cloud-based network, and maintain open communication via phone, email, go-to meeting, and other remote methods. We can participate remotely in weekly “Big Room” jobsite meetings and other meetings as scheduled via the General Contractor’s preferred teleconferencing method. We also travel to district offices and project sites as needed to coordinate efforts.

Our BIM Department is equipped to meet the most advanced technological needs of any project team. We work in Revit Architecture and AutoCAD for modeling and drafting, Navisworks Manage for clash detection, and Bluebeam PDF Revu for markups. As needed, our modeling capabilities extend to other software and add-ons, including but not limited to: Metal-Wood-Framer, a framing add-on for Revit, Sketch-Up, Rhinoceros and Digital Project. We also have extensive experience with file format interoperability, and are prepared to work with the array of software and technologies the project team utilizes. We are prepared to work on any project, large or small, and hope to be on your team in the future!
