The AJ team completed a large-scale exterior renovation across 13 buildings on UMC’s main campus, totaling 260,000 SF of new sheathing and EIFS and 425,000 SF of new paint. The project included full demolition and replacement of exterior framing and finishes at the 7-Story Tower and Surgery Center, with additional updates to the Trauma and Children’s Hospital, Lion’s Burn Center, Adult ER, parking garages, and more. Work was completed while the facility remained fully operational, requiring extensive coordination, creative scaffolding solutions, and careful navigation around live utilities and helicopter pads. The team adapted to field conditions, replacing major portions of existing framing originally planned to remain, while maintaining safety and quality throughout.
