This was a complex Shell and Core plus Fireproofing project involving two 15-floor buildings with 7 parking garage levels on the East and 8 parking garage levels on the West. Initiated during the COVID shutdown, it presented challenges with manpower shortages and aggressive schedules. COVID impacted field coordination meetings, and unique solutions like individual plastic spaces were implemented. The 1001 Office towers project focused on Shell and Core elements with crucial pre-construction meetings and inspector involvement. Engineering judgments and material issues were addressed promptly. Fireproofing in the West Tower was expedited, requiring accelerated layout and pre-clipping. Despite COVID-related manpower adjustments, Anning-Johnson successfully met all project requirements and turnovers for both towers.
